Jakobsen & Bowe is lead-safe

As of April 15^th, 2010, Jakobsen & Bowe is an EPA Lead-Safe certified firm. If your home was built before 1978, the paint could be toxic and dangerous to remove without proper knowledge of safe handling and disposal. Jakobsen & Bowe is certified in lead-safe work practices to safely renovate homes with lead paint.

Allan Jakobsen is now an InstallationMasters^TMCertified Installer

InstallationMasters^TM is designed to teach installers the best practices and installation techniques for both new construction and replacement projects. All course material is based on established industry standards. Certified Installers have been trained and passed a written exam on the following topics:

    1. Tested and accepted installation techniques
    2. Proper material selection, including the correct use
         of sealant and flashing
    3. Job site safety
    4. Protection of homeowner's property
    5. Quality control
    6. Product care, adjustment, and cleaning.

Each year millions of people participate in VSA arts programs through a nationwide network of affiliates and in more than 60 countries around the world.

VSA arts programming and initiatives are guided by four essential principles:

Every young person with a disability deserves access to high quality arts learning experiences.
All artists in schools and art educators should be prepared to include students with disabilities in their instruction.
All children, youth, and adults with disabilities should have complete access to cultural facilities and activities.
All individuals with disabilities who aspire to careers in the arts should have the opportunity to develop appropriate skills.

Inclusion teaches us that all means all. Everybody. No exceptions. The arts invite people to leave familiar territory, to explore new answers and seek new questions. The arts offer a means to self-expression, communication, and independence. By learning through the arts, students become lifelong learners, experiencing the joy of discovery and exploration, and the value of each other's ideas."

These actors performed for a full house at the recently dedicated Franklin Park Performing Arts Center and it was the almost 300 people in the audience that received great joy and benefit from the first class performance presented by these exceptional actors.

Bowe goes GREEN!

Matt Bowe, managing partner of Jakobsen & Bowe, LLC, has achieved the coveted Green Advantage certification. Green Advantage is a non-profit organization originally funded by the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency. Contractors receive Green Advantage certification by studying and demonstrating knowledge of green building principles and practices. Because the industry changes so quickly, certification must be sought every three years.

Green building promotes environmentally conscious building practices that benefit both the economic and physical health of the family and the environment!
